40' Mariner 40 '67 "Shalimar"

Classic wood cruiser designed by William Garden, and built by Ta Yang/Far East. Hull # 16, SHALIMAR has a round bilge, wood carvel single plank, bronze screws, full keel, flush deck, cabin trunk, diesel auxiliary, with bow sprit and wind vane. She has been cruised from San Diego to New Zealand by her knowledgeable owners. Standing rigging was replaced and spars refinished in 2015. Electrical panel upgraded, and fuel tanks replaced. Hull was re-fastened by Koehler Kraft in San Diego prior to cruising and was re-caulked upon arrival in New Zealand.
