39' Cal MK III '82 "Tumbleweed"

TUMBLEWEED is the much-preferred Mk III layout with an aft cabin with a sink in it. She underwent a significant refit in 2008 and has had many upgrades since then. This includes a new engine, standing rigging, lifelines, chartplotter, radar and arch, stove, new head, new hot water heater, and much more.

Accommodations

The accommodations aboard the Cal 39 are open and spacious for a boat of this size.The interior is built of teak. The cabin sole is teak and holly. Many cabinet doors are faced with rattan for ventilation. There is a well-lit double quarter berth, in an enclosed cabin, to port including a custom copper vanity with sink and hanging locker.The Nav station is to port forward of the aft cabin with ample room for electronics and a chart table. The main salon has plush upholstered settees, which will comfortably sleep crew on both sides. A large centerline, drop-leaf table easily accommodates guests for dinner and yet folds away for access forward and a roomy feel. Bookshelves throughout the salon maximize space and add to the open feeling.A thoughtful touch is the leaded glass wine cabinet adding a bit of luxury. The head is forward and to port with white walls and countertop with a custom copper sink for a bright clean look. The V-berth is comfortable for her owners with all natural, custom wool and latex bedding.
